For You and Your Little Black Dress

My treat came early this October when the folks at Unilever sent me some samples of their new products for 2010. As a blogger, I often receive free product samples from organizations hoping I’ll write about and promote them. Unfortunately, sometimes these offerings are more of a trick than a treat and I have to take a pass on sharing them with the group. Not this time.

While my goody bag was full of wonderful items, my favourite by far is Degree Women Ultra Clear Deodorant. How many times have I wrestled a sweater or dress into place only to find ugly, deodorant streaks? Now given that a) I live in Toronto where everyone wears black and b) I’m a woman over 40 who buys into the “black is slimming” notion, those unsightly white marks are a major annoyance. But Degree Women Ultra Clear is designed to not leave marks. It not only keeps me dry all day, it goes on clean. It’s a definite winner!

I also loved the non-sticky formula Vaseline Aloe Fresh Hydrating Body Lotion. My skin get so dry in the winter and I’m constantly putting on lotion – then wiping my sticky hands for fear of touching anything and getting gunk all over it. But with Vaseline’s non-sticky formula, I’m good to go from the minute I apply it.

My teenage daughter and I are fighting over the Ponds Cleansing and Exfoliating Towelettes. These little pre-moistened cleansing pads gently exfoliate and clean your skin at the same time. Quick and simple, they’re great for someone who’s on the go and pressed for time. Like, say, all of us?
